A downloadable allergen chart template that is filled from your menu before it is downloaded

Updated

A downloadable allergen chart template is more useful filled than blank, and on this site the order is filled first, then downloaded. The Food Standards Agency's allergen guidance, cited below, says only the 14 allergens are required to be declared as allergens by food law: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites at more than ten parts per million, and tree nuts. Enter the dishes and the allergens their recipes carry, and the allergen matrix prints the chart with a date to PDF from the browser, free and without an account. A blank chart downloaded and filled in pen is the one that is never updated when the supplier changes.

What the download contains

The 14 as columns in the law's names, the dishes as rows, a mark for present and a mark for may contain, the date, and the kitchen's name. At the size of the menu, so a forty-dish menu prints on a page or two.

Where the marks come from

The recipes and the ingredient labels, kept with the traceability record on this site. A supplier change can add an allergen without changing the dish, so the chart is rebuilt at the delivery, and the download re-dated.

Downloading and printing

Print to PDF from the browser at the size of the menu; laminate one copy for behind the counter and keep one in the folder, both carrying the same date. No account, no card, no watermark, and the same chart the paid product keeps as a dated version.

What the subscription adds

Each dated version kept, so the chart that was current on any date can be shown, and the matrix held with the HACCP plan and its records. FoodDocs lists its Lite plan at $99 per site per month billed monthly or $79 billed annually, and its Standard plan at $199 per site per month, with a free 14-day trial, on its pricing page cited below. ProbeLedger Pro is $49 per month for the whole site.
